Abstract
It may be well to state at the beginning of this thesis, that in the discussion of Possibilities of Training the Will, the author's own emphasis and interest is placed upon Possibilities rather than upon Training; in the causes back of the phenomena, rather than in the methods of training it after the causes are found. It may be argued that moralization of the will covers every possibility of development for the individual, but the author feels this concept of the problem is too inclusive, that will has other aspects and factors that also vitally affect the character, and so must also affect a choice of methods of training. We need to know more about the basic factors of will, and of their part in the activities connected with it.
