Abstract
Difficulty has been encountered in obtaining chymotrypsinogen B free from contamination by neochymotrypsinogens (1). This thesis was originally undertaken to obtain a pure preparation of chymotrypsinogen B by chromatography. In the course of this study, it was found in activating chymotrypsinogen B, that the activating split by trypsin occurs much more readily than the activating split in chymotrypsinogen A. Activation studies of chymotrypsinogen B in comparison to chymotrypsinogen A were carried out.
