Abstract
Fluoride treatments on human dental enamel, in the prevention of dental caries has been studied extensively over the years, but still little is known about the exact mechanisms at work in these complex chemical reactions. The purpose of this research is to study the reaction between human tooth enamel and Zirconium Fluoride and Titanium Tetrafluoride solutions, using x-ray diffraction techniques, scanning electron microscope, electron microprobe and quantitative chemical analysis.
