Abstract

In this thesis, through magnetic and electric field energy concepts, expressions are developed describing the Q, the unleaded quality factor of rectangular and circular balanced strip transmission type cavities, under specific medes of excitation. Further, an expression for the open end impedance of a strip transmission line ls developed. Lastly, limited laboratory results will be given and compared to theoretical results.
