Abstract
This dissertation is submitted as an addendum to my published book, The Entrepreneur 's Guide to Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, Trade Secrets and Licensing (Penguin/Putnam Press 2004). While the book examines the status of intellectual property law with respect to entrepreneurship, the dissertation examines issues that specifically impact the software industry.
