Abstract

This study was conducted at the Oconomowoc Wastewater Treatment Plant. The study attempts to evaluate the performance of a relatively new type of rapid sand filter on a full-scale basis. The filter uses a shallow bed, single-media filtration system and a continuous backwash mechanism.
