Abstract

While structure and function of the human foot and ankle have been studied anatomically, little information has been gathered regarding motion of these structures during gait. A multi-segment model of foot and ankle motion is needed to describe both normal and pathologic foot and ankle motion. No known four segment body system of the foot and ankle has been described in the literature.
