Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to record movements of the mandible between certain reproducible positions; to compare the movements recorded on a sample of orthodontically treated subjects with those recorded on a sample of untreated subjects; and to spatially locate these positions relative to the temporomandibular joints using lateral cephalometric roentgenograms.
