Abstract
The study of the relationship between bacteremias of dental origin and susceptible patients with a predisposition to bacterial endocarditis is a serious challenge to the dental and medial professions. Several dental procedures have been reported to cause bacteremias. The dentist is often faced with the decision of whether or not to prescribe prophylactic antibiotic coverage for a given procedure. This study will attempt to ascertain if bacteremias result from two types of dental impressions.
