Abstract
For many years the formolcresol pulpotomy procedure has been denied the child with an adverse medical history for rear of creating a transient bacteremia. Extensive work has been done to show the relationship between many oral procedures and the incidence of transient bacteremias. However, a void exists in the literature in the study of formolcresol pulp therapy as related to bacterial invasion of the bloodstream. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the one-step formolcresol pulpotomy on the incidence of transient bacteremia.
