Abstract
This study reviews and investigates experimentally the recently proposed theory that surface tension is dependent upon the geometry of the liquid. The surface tension of liquids in isolated capillary systems is measured for various aqueous solutions. The effects of the surface tension of a liquid is reviewed in light of this theory.
