Abstract
A posterior palatal seal is established on complete maxillary dentures to assure the peripheral seal. There is a divergence of opinion as to the depth of the posterior palatal seal necessary in complete maxillary acrylic resin dentures to obtain this seal. This study was undertaken to measure the amount of posterior palatal seal needed to obtain a satisfactory complete maxillary acrylic resin denture.
