Abstract
The Hanau Model H articulator is generally accepted as being well designed and well constructed. The fact that this instrument has fixed condylar posts, and hence a fixed distance between vertical centers of rotation, has been presented as a limitation to the efficaciousness of the instrument. This thesis has been designed in an attempt to demonstrate that compensatory mechanisms incorporated in the instrument will essentially overcome the above mentioned limitation.
