Abstract
Four plastic materials Dacronn, Nylon, Ivalon and Superpolyamide were placed beneath the periosteum of the jaws of rabbits to note their effect on the tissues surrounding them. After these implants were left in place for varying lengths of time, sections of the jaws were prepared for microscopic examination to determine the histologic changes elicited by the implanted plastic materials.
