Abstract
For the past several years there has been accumulating evidence to indicate serious side effects occurring in women taking oral contraceptive drugs. Of particular interest to the Dental Profession are the recent reports of changes in the oral mucosa due to the ingestion of these oral contraceptive drugs. It will be the purpose of this thesis to attempt to induce these reported changes in an experimental animal, the female albino rat; and to do a histological study of the oral and vaginal mucosa to ascertain if change occurs in one site it will occur in the other.
