Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to record mandibular movements before and after the use of orthodontic intermaxillary elastic therapy; to compare the movements recorded on a sample of subjects with malocclusions that will require the use of intermaxillary elastic therapy; and to spatially locate these positions relative to each other and thereby evaluate the stability of the hinge axis.
