Abstract
There are basically three commonly used methods for recording centric jaw relation on edentulous patients. They are the interocclusal checkbite method, functional method, and the graphic methods. Throughout the past fifty years there have been many variations of these three methods as to materials and equipment used. This investigation was undertaken to evaluate a new tracing device, the Ney Hydracentric, and to compare its centric jaw relation records with centric jaw relation records made with the wax interocclusal checkbite method.
