Abstract
The purpose of this investigation shall be to determine the histochemical profiles of the yolk sac of the embryonate egg infected with R. mooseri and the chorioallantoic membrane of the embryonate egg infected with PR8 strain of Influenza virus. In the yolk sac, changes in the levels of selected enzymes of the Embden Meyerhof glycolytic cycle, Kreb's citric acid cycle, fatty acid metabolism, and comparative levels of phosphatase and peptidase will be recorded. In the chorioallantoic membrane, changes in the mucopolysaccharide content of the endodermal cells will be observed. The profiles thus obtained may give direction for further analysis by the quantitative assay procedures of biochemistry.
