Computer-Assisted Instruction for Machine Language Programming on the XDS Sigma-2 Computer

Abstract

Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) has been utilized on many educational levels ranging from mathematics to languages. This paper describes the development of a CAI system concerned with the programming and operation of the Xerox Data Systems Sigma-2 computer. The discussion includes a description of the material and how it was developed and presented. The complete manual to be used by the student is included a long with a sample listing of the program output.
