Abstract
The purpose of this paper will be to consider only those operations in plastic
surgery which concern the dentist . Plastic surgery, in itself, is almost a separate profession. For this reason, it is foolish to believe that a physician excells in every
branch, nor is it wise to say that a dentist should undertake every type of plastic operation. It would be very reasonable, however, to assume that a dentist, with his detailed training concerning the structures in and surrounding the oral cavity, is more fitted to undertake operations in these areas. The dentist is not trained to do plastic work upon the face, but he has the best foundation upon which to begin the training for these operations.
