Abstract
That healthy teeth are a direct result of careful observation of the pregnant woman is evident, thus if a child is to have sound teeth you must start with the care of the pregnant mother. The latest conclusions regarding the development of a child's teeth, both the deciduous and permanent, are that they will be good or bad according to the health and surroundings of the mother during pregnancy. The proper nourishment for the developing young life seems the only means by which physical health and sound teeth can be assured the adult; as this development begins with the embryo, so must our consideration of nutrition begin here.
