Abstract
An impacted tooth, as defined by Dr. M. Hillel Feldman of Lincoln Hospital, New York City, in his textbook "Manual of Exodontia", is any tooth which is prevented, during the process of eruption, from taking its normal place in the dental arch. Impaction may be occasioned either by bone or by some other tooth which obstructs the pathway of the displaced tooth.
