Abstract

The subject of myoepithelial proliferations in the human breast is one little understood and one little appreciated. In the study of breast lesions this has not been given its proper significance. If by this communication I will have called to the attention of doctors the problem of myoepithelial proliferations and their differential diagnosis the labor will not have been in vain.

Upon undertaking a problem of this kind one immediately stand alone, since there is little recourse to the experience of others. Hamperl directed attention to myoepithelial proliferations in 1939. Without this investigation such proliferations would probably still be unrecognized.
