Abstract
History, with its record of past achievements, is today more than ever the one means by which we can judge the future course of events. The growing importance to students, particularly those of high school standing, of having a more complete knowledge of the past and present history of their state, following entrance into actual life, in order that they may do justice to their citizenship in both state and national affairs, has prompted me to organize this course for the teaching of Wisconsin history in the high schools of the state.
