Abstract
Although it has been observed that the ultra-short acting barbiturates have marked effect on cardiovascular homeostasis, relatively little is known of the mechanisms of action. This study was undertaken to further evaluate the effects of these drugs on vascular smooth muscle and to further delineate the mechanisms by which these responses occur.
