Abstract
It has been known since 1897 that blood contains a substance that inhibits tryptic activity. The nature of the blood tryptic inhibitor has been the subject of extensive investigation. At present, the evidence is controversial, particularly in relation to the behavior or the inhibitor towards trichloroacetic acid. It was considered or interest ... to re-investigate the behavior or the blood trypsin inhibitor on treatment with trichloroacetic acid, heat, acids and alkalies, alcohol, and the ability or the molecule to diffuse through a collodion membrane.
