Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to discover how far and in what particular way the right of privacy of an individual is recognized by law, in decisions, common law and statute.
This is done with a view to finding the principles upon which the right of privacy is now based, so that a proper interpretation of the present situation will result in a better understanding of the rules which must be considered by newspapers and other publications in regard to this right of the individual, and to estimate the probable course of the development of the law pertaining to this right.
