Abstract
A scientific study of basketball has been carried on at Marquette University for the past five years under the guidance of Coach William S. Chandler. Charts and graphs have played an important part in assisting Coach Chandler in developing his teams.
Studies of this nature have been carried on for the past five years starting from the 1932-33 season, when Clem Eible compiled the first collected work on the team, followed by Adolph Gorychka who based his work on the 1933-34 season. Last year Ray Mortstadt followed up this scientific study and the present season of 1935-36 is the fourth of this series and this analyzation is made by William Rubado.
This particular study is based on individual graphs which have been made from figures obtained during the home games of the past season. Each individual game was charted and a complete tabulation of the following was kept:
1. Number of fumbles. 2. Number of fumbles recovered. 3. Jump balls. 4. Bad Passes. 5. Passes intercepted. 6. Rebounds recovered.
