Abstract
Because of the drastic rule changes in ice hockey during the last few years all established systems of offense and defense must be radically changed or abolished. Besides adding more speed and scoring to the fame the rule changes have brought about a standardization of the game, causing the amateur and professional interpretation of rules to mean about the same. The usual official rules of any game are far from a description of the game, and the most descriptive literature on the subject is lacking in the definiteness of the rules. The present thesis aims to combine these two elements, descriptive and technical, in the most practically usable manner by showing clearly and briefly the main points of the game.
