Abstract
After having been a teacher for a number of years, I was given the opportunity of taking charge of our elementary school library, which was just being organized.
The experience has been such a pleasant one, that I resolved to learn more about the history, growth and progress of the elementary school library movement in the country and seek courses of study being used, to aid in formulating one in our own school.
What I have gathered and arranged in the following thesis, I have felt were the most important factors to be used in guiding my own or any novice in a teacher - librarian's position.
