Abstract
Roosevelt and the Panama Canal. In no other field can such food for thought be found as in this project, launched by our American forefathers of a few years back. Ideas galore may be seen in each phase of the work. America's part in the endeavor; the part played by France; the work of England and other European countries are fit subjects to be discussed in more than the pages that I have filled here. Only a simple study can be given through the material which I have explored. Of course, other works might state more in regard to certain phases of the subject, but this work will try to give a fair analysis of the project as a whole, end to discuss the material as seen through the eyes of an average college graduate. I hope that my labors may be accepted as fitting for the subject I have undertaken to discuss.
