Abstract
I have written this thesis for it will not only be beneficial to me in regard to obtaining knowledge about the subject, but in later years, should I obtain a position as a physical director I will be able to take charge of intramural work of the school. The thesis is based on a variety of readings, including several books written by the more well known authors of intramural athletics like Mitchell, Elmer D. "Intramural Athletics and Play Days". Some of the material also was obtained through the auspices of two coaches of Wisconsin High Schools who answered and returned the questionnaire which I previously had sent to them.
