Abstract
The program outlined in this paper includes a sequence of objectives that must be kept in mind by the Sixth Grade teacher in developing habits of reading and study in the pupils. Carefully selected subject matter is essential. Next is skill in methods of presentation, in order that the work of both teacher and pupil will be made more enjoyable and more effective. The child must be studied. Efficiency on the part of the pupils is the goal.
