Abstract

In writing this thesis we endeavored to study the issues of FRANK LESLIE'S ILLUSTRATED WEEKLY NEWSPAPER during the period of 1855 to 1905 and show how this paper mirrored the times though its illustrations and content and also to show how the reproductions of pictures was improved from wood engravings to half tone pictures.
