Abstract
The normal histology or the Vertebrates as a group is not as wall known as is generally supposed, and in many cases we find that our meagre knowledge rests upon uncertain investigations and vague generalized studies. Among all of the classes· of Vertebrates, with the possible exception of the Pisces, the Reptilia represent the major gap in our information.
