Abstract
"Geography teaching is in a confused condition at the present time". This sentence of a well known geographer expresses the same idea that I felt about my own teaching of geography. Many teachers feel the same way. How do you teach geography? Do you have the pupils recite by topics or do they solve problems? Do the pupils make up their own problems? Do you motivate your geography lessons? How do you socialize a geography lesson? Does every child participate? Are the children interested in the assignment? Do the children study or do they come to class unprepared? I do dislike correcting papers. It takes so much time. How often do you give tests? Do you have the pupils correct the papers? Don't you think it is a waste of time? Do you look over the papers? Since these questions are a topic of discussion, I decided to find out what authorities had to say in answer to them.
