Abstract
In recent years a great deal has been written on the endocrine glands. However most of the articles deal with the physiological function of the various ductless glands only. Very little of this literature deals with the anatomical structure of the organs themselves. In this thesis we shall discuss the anatomical structure of the endocrine glands namely, the Pituitary(hypophysis), Thyroid and the Adrenal of a marsupial. The work has been done on the opossum of the virginia species, Didelphis virginiana. Only two specimens were available for dissection.
