Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to assemble a workable course of study to be used in the teaching of social studies in the intermediate grades of the schools of Wausau. At present, only a limited amount of time may be given to the teaching of the social studies, exclusive of Geography, which is treated separately. Hence a carefully worked out plan is absolutely necessary if we are to obtain the results for which we hope.
