Abstract

This Thesis is the outgrowth of the experience of the writer over a period of four months with the Children's Home and Aid Society in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during 1933 and 1934. During the summer of 1933 the writer investigated several prospective foster homes in Stearns County, Minnesota, to determine their suitability as adoptive homes. As the result of this work the writer has developed some knowledge of the standards of foster home and of the technique of foster home finding for dependent children.
