Abstract
It is the object of the writer to try to give some kind of a picture of this glorious age of Louis XIV. To attempt to show to some degree the important role Louis XIV played in France, and Europe itself all through this period. He practically rearranged all the boundaries of his own country, and did a great deal toward bring about the many changes found in his neighbors. He was without any question the predominating power of Europe throughout his entire reign.
