Abstract

It seems that the schools of today have the real responsibility and task of teaching health education, so it has become a part of the educational program of almost every school system, as a result many schools are now equipped with medical and dental clinics. Undernourished children are aided in maintaining a balanced diet. School lunch-rooms furnish wholesome foods. Physical examinations and. home visits from school nurses constitute part of the program. Then, too, the teacher has become responsible, not only, for the training of the minds of children, but also for the health and welfare of the children in her room. And, of course, the school-room, a place where children from many homes congregate presents a rather difficult problem of health education.
