Abstract
This thesis on photo-electric cells had its origin in a popular article in which the cell was used to operate relays. Being interested in such feeble photo-electric currents, I was allowed to pursue this subject as a thesis. In this work I encountered many amazing phenomena and innumerable applications of the laws of physics, so that now I feel as though I have not only reviewed that science, but also acquired a greater knowledge of that subject.
