Abstract
Every teacher finds a great range of capacities and abilities in her room. She finds that although some children comprehend what they read, they read much too slowly. She finds that others may read rapidly but not get the thought from what they read. She finds that some may e able to follow printed directions well but are inefficient in getting the complete thought from narrative material.
