Abstract
In considering the successful financial enterprises in the country today it is shocking to note what a small number of newspapers can be properly listed amongst them. There are proportionately more newspaper businesses operating at a loss than any other kind. Regarding the commercial value of its output each year the publishing and printing industry ranks sixth in the nation, but in credit it is at the bottom of the list.
