Abstract
The aim of this paper is to give what I consider the most important phases of mental testing. In the first place I shall write of the "History of Intelligence Testing ." In this part of the work I shall show how mental testing grew out of the study of individual differences and also out of the study of human behavior. I also wish to show what the different countries, those of France, Germany, England and the United States, contributed toward the development of mental testing. In the second place I shall show the two different sides of the controversy regarding the Nature of Intelligence. Other phases, which will be considered, are: the Principles of Intelligence Testing, the Effects of Environment and also the Effect of Nature on the Intelligence quotient, and a Description of Different Types of Well Known Testa.
