Abstract

The five publications analyzed for this thesis represented the various types of British Journals of opinion, presenting a fair, cross - section of that particular branch of the English Press. Each publication had its own particular editorial policy, reader class and methods of approach; and accordingly the international problems of the period were treated differently by them.
