Abstract
It i the primary purpose of the school to enable the oncoming generation to adjust itself to the natural and social environment in which it must live and work. Managers of large industries are realizing more and more that the problem of industrial safety will not be solved until the idea of safety has been incorporated into the community life, that is; until safety instruction is given in the schools, and until safety is established in the thought and life of the people on the same basis as good health. The fact that two-thirds of all the accidental deaths occur outside of industry emphasized the importance of a campaign to promote safety in the streets and in the homes.
