Abstract
Wholesome tradition is an asset to an institution, a. nation or a business. Edmund Burke's famous epitome of the journalistic world and the oft used and much abused quotation, "The pen is mightier than the sword," in addition to -all the Col. Henry Wattereone, Daniel DeFoes and other purse-poor but quixotic knights of the copy pencil have cast over the newspaper calling a glamour of romance and wonder. To the layman the newspaper reporter is either a courageous knight-errant protected by a shining buckler of righteous courage, or a devil-may-care picaro with a taste for bright lights and late hours.
