Abstract
This thesis is a study of Jean Racine's drama Berenice. It analyzes the play act by act and attempts to show the ability of Racine as a poet-dramatist as exemplified in Berenice. There is a brief sketch of the life of the author and the century in which he lived, since both had a direct bearing upon his work.
