Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to give as completely as possible a survey of the Feature Syndicate Field in the United States, the events which led in the establishment of this branch of service for newspapers, and the results which such establishment have produced in the newspaper world. The modern Newspaper is not complete without a feature service. Spot news is of prime importance, necessarily, but there are a thousand and one stories in the day's events that are not always of prime importance, but nevertheless worthwhile and interesting. Feature Syndicates present these stories daily.
